Not their latest recording – not even their best song – but there’s something phenomenal about this band. I don’t know if it’s my inner high school jazz band nerd hearing a combo from outer space, or whether it’s maniacally simple sounding, impossibly executed drum parts. I recommend listening to the articulation and (perfectly precise) akimbo rhythm on the hi-hats with some good headphones.
